Jeep Roscoe Episode 6 Part 3: Ahoy Albany!

Writer: Jeep RoscoeJeep Roscoe

Preparing to leave Albany following a few days of exploring I discover a small fly in the ointment of my plans, proving the old adage that no plan survives first contact.

A nail in the tire! Luckily, the lads at Clarke Tire in Albany sorted me out in good time, allowing me to explore the town centre whilst I waited. Whilst exploring the town centre I retraced my steps from my first visit to Albany back in 2002.

In the afternoon a trip to Nanarup Beach proved to be very eventful and took a lot of energy from me. so much so, that I curtailed the day to head back to camp and catch up with some admin.

The following morning I explored Mount Clarence the highest peak in the town and the National ANZAC Memorial which had recently been finished on the grounds of Princess Royal Fort, a lovely but sombre place.

Albany was a lovely place to visit and I strongly recommend it to anyone travelling to WA's south west. Onwards to Denmark!
