Esperance, known for its pristine white quartz beaches and crystal clear waters, did not disappoint.
Following on from last week's episode where Delilah and I ventured into Cape le Grande National Park, just to the east of Esperance, we pick up again at Hellfire Bay.
From there I climbed to the summit of Frenchman Peak / Mandooboornup at just 362m in height, or approx 2-3 hours return walk, it offered amazing view of both the national park and of Esperance in the distance. A short but steep climb. From there we find ourselves on the western end of Cape le Grande National Park at Wylie Beach, a short drive from Esperance. Here I caught up with some friends of mine who were visiting Esperance on a family holiday. Bringing their jet skis down from Perth, I was lucky enough to have a go... and great fun it was!
I wrapped up the episode with some highlights from a tour around Esperance's Great Ocean Drive, a 52km loop trail you can follow which takes you around some amazing beaches and view points, just on the doorstep of Esperance. We leave the episode heading West to Hopetoun, Fitzgerald River National Park and Bremer Bay. I hope you enjoy this the second episode from Esperance, it is simply an amazing place to visit.
